Human Services Department of the Yerington Paiute Tribe is dedicated in the practice of Social Work. YPT Human Services works to help individuals and/ or families to restore or enhance their lives.

We often assist with:

  • Job preparation,
  • Job searching,
  • Application assistance,
  • Training opportunities, and
  • Mediator to other services.

It is a pleasure to serve the YPT Community! Please call or come in for a visit to establish services.

Plan

Develop a plan for families and individuals.

Administer

Administer social services that benefit the community.

COORDINATE

Coordinate services that are available.

REFER

Referrals to any other resource that will assist.

Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)

The YPT Victim Services Program is an Emergency Based Program that is designed to provide services to victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Elder Abuse, Dating Violence and Stalking. Services and assistance offered will be determine on a case by case basis, and dependent on victim’s needs.

All services will be provided in a confidential and sensitive manner to protect the victim’s right to privacy!

ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:

  • Domestic violence is a pattern of abuse behaviors in any relationship that is used by one partner to gain or maintain power and control over another intimate partner.
  • ​Domestic violence can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, or physiological actions or threats of actions that influence another person. This includes any behaviors that intimate, manipulate, humiliate, isolate, frighten, terrorize, coerce, threaten, blame, hurt, injure, or wound someone.

FOR EMERGENCIES PLEASE CALL 911, ADVOCATES WILL BE CALLED OUT VIA LAW ENFORCEMENT TO ENSURE VICTIM AND ADVOCATE SAFTEY.
